On Thursday January 18, 2017, at approximately 1400hrs, UTHSC Police were dispatched to the Crowe Building 874 Union Ave Memphis, TN on a theft. The officer made the scene and made contact with reporting party. RP stated that the AED machine (Value $1600.00) was missing from the 1st floor of the Crowe Building. The AED was last seen was on August 8, 2016. At this time there are no suspects.

Complainant contacted the Campus Police on January 13, 2017, at approximately 1539 hours, in regards to an Apple T. V. missing from a class room in the 920 Building room 653. The complainant advised the writer the item was found to be missing on December 17, 2016. In addition several individuals have access to the room where missing item taken from. UTHSC IT was contacted by the dispatcher to determine if they had in fact removed the T.V. to replace it with a newer version they denied any knowledge.
There are no leads at this time.

On 10/26/16 at 16:55 hr. UTHSC Police was advised of a vehicle burglary call to 201 East St. and Officers talked with a UTHSC employee, who said he parked his 2002 Chevy Tahoe black 4 door Tn W05-25f on East St. in the metered parking slot on the east side of the Physical Plant at about 12:20 returned at 16:45 and saw his left rear passenger window down and car stereo missing. The employee said his transmission gear stick was broke during the offense. Photos were taken by Sgt. Jones no suspect information at this time.

On the October 19, 2016 at 1016 hrs, UTHSC Police was dispatched to the 910 Plaza building for a stolen property report. The officer spoke to the victim, stated she noticed her External Hard Drive was missing from her computer. The victim doesn't know what type of hard drive it is or the serial number at this time. She advised she will call UT Police with more information when she gets it.# 2330

On 10/18/16 at about 16:27 UTHSC- Police made a vehicle burglary call to 750 Madison Flintco Constructive Solutions, and spoke with the employee, who said he parked the company vehicle 2014 Chevy Silverado in the lot at about 16:00, and returned at about 16:25 and discovered the front right passenger window broken out, and the company I-pad stolen. The Employee showed the Officers camera images of a 1999 to 2001 gold colored Ford Taurus parking next to the burglarized p/u at about 16:15 and a shadow image appear and at about 16:20 the gold Ford Taurus pulls off the lot. Photos were taken of the property damage no witness or suspect information at this time. #2329

On 10/14/2016 at 1302 hrs, Officers received a called regarding a robbery that occurred on 10/13/2016 at Exxon on 1003 Union Avenue Memphis, TN. Victim was identified as UT employee. The victim stated she was pumping gas at Exxon and was approached by the defendant, who was mumbling and acting strangely. The victim stated the defendant got close to her . The victim attempted to give the defendant money and the defendant grabbed the victim's hand, snatching approximately $4. Victim stated the defendant went and stood in front of her vehicle, causing the victim to be afraid. Victim saw the defendant on 10/14/2016 at Union and Dunlap and alerted UT Campus Police who arrested the defendant at Madison and Dunlap. The defendant was identified as Michael William White. The Defendant was transported to North Main Station GIB questioned the defendant. The victim was given a 6 photo lineup, where she identified the suspect as the person that robber her on October 13, 2016 at approximately 1700hrs. The suspect was transported to 201 Poplar by Officers. #2326

On October 10, 2016, 1245pm, UTHSC Police was dispatched to Headquarters to speak with a UTHSC Student. He advised his vehicle was broken into while parked at 687 Jefferson Avenue and Orleans. The student left his wallet on the front seat of his 4 door, 2010 Honda Accord, Silver in color. When he returned to his vehicle the next morning, his front passenger window was broken out. The wallet was found on the front seat, but the suspect took $150.00 cash out of the console, $15.00 out of his wallet. All of his credit cards were still in his wallet. No further information at this time. #2318

On Monday July 11th 2016, UTHSC Police assisted in the arrest of a female that was attempting to pass several stolen and fraudulent checks at the BancorpSouth branch at North Pauline/ Court Ave. The suspect was attempting to cash checks in the  amount of 1250 dollars. The suspect attempted to forge the victim¿s name on these checks. The suspect was arrest and transported to jail east.

On December 2nd 2015, UTHSC Police was contacted by UTHSC employee advising that her rear windshield on her Buick had been busted out. Officers went to the area where the vehicle was parked, a report was taken. There was nothing taken from the vehicle .
 No suspect information at this time.

Monday, October 19, 2015, 1330 hours University Employee came to Police Headquarters at 740 Court and filed a theft report in regards to a missing IPAD Air Tablet. The item was last used by UT Employee in the 930 Madison Room 621. The complainant used the device on Sept. 3, 2015. The IPAD is normally kept on her desk on in the third drawer of a file cabinet inside of Room 621. the complainant told the Officer  that the IPAD was not missed until approximately two weeks later. The IPAD was not on the complainant's desk or in the file cabinet. The complainant told the Officer that she looked for the IPAD and it could not be located. There is no additional information at this time.

 On the 19th of June 2015, UTHSC Police responded to a theft call in room 248 of the Physical Plant Building that a 6000 dollar floor scrubber was missing. UTHSC Custodial Supervisor stated approximately two months ago was the last time the Triple S Scrubber seen. the scrubber was removed from a locked storage area in the basement of the Pharmacy Building. The Scrubber was valued at approximately $6,000.00 and it's weight was about 1000 lbs. or more. A lift and a truck would have been needed to transport this item. The color of the missing scrubber is black and orange. no further information at this time.

On May 6th, 2015, UTHSC Police responded to a theft call at the 930 Building room 242 and talked to the complaint about three missing laptop Computers, .The theft occurred in the psychiatry department on May 5th 2015. The Complainant stated that three Dell laptop computers were delivered to the department in the afternoon of May 5th, 2015 and stored in room 251, a storage room. It was discovered on today's date that all three of the computers had been removed from the boxes they were delivered in and it is unknown who took the computers. A report was taken and the information was entered with TBI.

On March 17, 2015 at approximately 0929hrs, UTHSC POLICE was dispatched to 853 Jefferson Ave, Memphis, TN Regional One Room E149 for theft of property report. Officer Morrow made the scene at approximately 0939hrs and made contact with complainant . The complainant advised UTHSC Police that his work laptop, which belongs to the UTHSC OB/GYN Department was taken from his desk. The last time he saw the laptop was Friday March 13, 2015 at approximately 1700hrs. The Apple Mac Book Pro 15" is valued at $1,699.00 and silver in color. The room that this laptop was taken out of has a key code access pad and a key entry. There are also cameras on the hallway. UTHSC Police spoke with the security at Regional One and they advised that they can pull up a record of who asked the room via the access key pad. There was also another laptop taken from the same room.At this time there are no Suspects.

On October 6, 2014, a faculty member left her phone on her desk on the sixth floor of the Plaza Building, 930 Madison, and went to lunch. When she returned the phone was missing. A GPS locator on the phone placed it in Mississippi a short time later. The victim reported the theft on October 7, 2014. There are no suspects or witnesses.

On October 7, 2014 at 1404 hours, UTHSC Police were dispatched to 874 Union, the Crowe Building Room 115, on a thief. A UTHSC employee advised that a white NEC LCD data Video Projector was missing out of Conference Room 100, which belonged to the Department of Pharmacology. The last time the projector was seen was on October 2, 2014, at approximately 1530 hours. UTHSC Investigations is following leads on the thefts of projectors from the campus.

On October 1, 2014,at 1512 hours, UTHSC Police made a theft call to 711 Jefferson, the Boling Center (CDD), in Room 613. A UTHSC employee stated she went into Room 613 to use the projector and discovered it missing. Complainant stated it was last seen on 09/18/14 at about 1200 hours, and also advised there was no sign of forced entry.

On May 22, 2014, at 0915 hours, a UTHSC staff member was parked in the H Lot Garage (Hamilton Eye Lot) with her personal bicycle on a bike rack which was secured/locked on the back of the vehicle. When she returned at 1430 hours, the bicycle was missing.

On April 1, 2014, at 4:55 pm, a student found his bicycle missing from the bike rack located by the GEB. He had parked the bicycle at 7:50 am. There were no witnesses to the theft.

On 03-19-2014 at 3:35 pm, a UTHSC medical student reported he arrived at the S.A.C. around 1:00 pm and placed his bag outside the door of racquetball court#2. About 2:30 pm, he discovered his Iphone4 missing. No suspect information available.

On Friday, December 20, 2013, at 1348 hours, the gate arm to the "R" Lot entry machine was discovered damaged by an unknown vehicle and driver.

On December 5, 2013, officers were dispatched to the construction area of 19 S. Manassas Street (Lot 1 of Cancer Research Building), on a "Attempted Larceny From Vehicle" call. The victim advised he had parked his vehicle in the rear of "Lot 1" at approximately 7:00 a.m. on the morning of December 5. When he returned to his vehicle at 9:30 a.m.,  he found his driver door keyhole punched out. There were no items taken from his vehicle.

On September 25, 2013 around 1000 hours while on routine patrol UT Officers observed a blue Hyundai southbound Pauline disregard the red light at Jefferson. They initiated a traffic stop at Pauline and Court and spoke with the driver who advised that he did not have any valid photo ID after being detained the driver gave Officers his brothers personal information and represented himself as his brother, who had a warrant. Officers also checked the passenger who also had a warrant. Both occupants were taken into custody and transported to the CJC where it was discovered that the driver had lied and given his older brothers information as his own. At that point he was charged with the driving charges and Criminal Impersonation and booked into the CJC.

On September 24, 2013, a staff member of the Bursar's Office, located in the Hyman Building, was conducting business over the telephone when the individual receiving the call made threatening and intimidating remarks towards the staff member. The UTHSC Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident to determine our appropriate response to the threats.

On Friday, September 13, 2013, UTHSC Police Officers took a male suspect into custody at the Dunn Dental Building, on five (5) outstanding felony warrants; involving fraud and theft of property. This is the same subject that was under investigation from the September 6, 2013, incident at the Dunn Dental Building. This subject was transported to the Criminal Justice Center, 201 Poplar.

On Monday, August 26, at 8:00 AM, a student reported he had chained his bicycle on the rail near the westside of the SAC Building breezeway and when he returned around 11:00 AM, the bicycle chain securing the bike had been cut and the bike missing. UTHSC Investigations is reviewing the security tapes and pawn shop records to develop a suspect.

On July 25,2008 a UT-officer was sent to the SAC (Glot) garage to take a theft from vehicle report from a UT-student. Upon arrival it was noted that the entry was made through the rear passenger side window and several items were taken. Pictures were taken and all information was passed along to investigations.
